Update
This report updates the headline to reflect that the library changed its signage Friday morning.
This report was updated at 8:45 p.m. with a decision by the library’s board of trustees to amend library signs. Comments from library patrons have also been added.
This report was updated at 5:30 p.m. with comments from Jennifer Bukowsky, Toalson Reisch’s attorney, and Elinor Barrett, the associate director of the Daniel Boone Regional Library.
The Daniel Boone Regional Library board of trustees said Thursday night it would amend existing signs outside the library, which ban patrons from bringing firearms inside.
