A Columbia woman convicted a year ago of causing a fatal wrong-way crash on Interstate 70 will receive a new trial, an appeals court ruled Tuesday.
The Eastern District of the Missouri Court of Appeals concluded that the jury in Kelli Smith’s trial was prejudiced because they were improperly instructed about blood alcohol evidence.
