Charges were dropped Friday against Eric Cravens, who was arrested in connection with a June 15 shooting downtown.

Cravens had been charged with three counts of first-degree assault and one count of armed criminal action for the shooting in which a 19-year-old man and two 23-year-old men were shot, according to previous Missourian reporting. None of the victims’ injuries were life threatening.

The shooting took place in downtown Columbia near the intersection of Tenth Street and East Broadway. In a video taken during the incident, a large crowd of people can be seen crossing the intersection. The crowd quickly disperses after several shots were fired.

Cravens’ attorney, Jennifer Bukowsky, said surveillance video proved her client wasn’t even at the scene when the shots were fired.
